  •  Steps to proceed with a Non-Qatari investment application – (Higher than 49% to 100%)

    ​​​​​​​

    ​​The Business Development and Investment Promotion Department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce offers essential information and necessary support to attract non - Qatari Investors to invest in the State of Qatar. Furthermore, it encourages and facilitates new investment initiatives which will enhance and raise Qatar’s position globally. 


    • Steps to proceed with a Non-Qatari investment application:


    Step 1- Fill the non-Qatari investment license application by ​​clicking here : (mandatory)

    Step 2- Attach all the required documents by clicking here: (mandatory / optional)​​

    Documents required to be submitted by Juristic person (companies):

    -Preliminary and essential licenses required for starting up the business activity from competent authorities, if required. (mandatory)

    - Project work plan attached to the application of the non-Qatari investment license.

    - A copy of the certified establishment contract and statute of the Company translated into Arabic. (mandatory)

    - A copy of the commercial registration of the headquarters certified by the competent authorities and translated into Arabic. (mandatory)

    - Copy of the commercial registration of the branches certified by competent authorities and translated into Arabic. (optional).

    Documents required to be submitted by Physical person (person):​​

    - Preliminary and essential licenses required for starting up the business activity from competent authorities, if required. (mandatory)

    - Project work plan attached to the application of the non-Qatari investment license.

    - A copy of Qatari ID (for residents), and copy of the passport (for non-residents). (mandatory) ​

    - Certified good conduct certificate from the country of the applicant and from State of Qatar for residents. (mandatory) 

    - Resume containing work experiences and the academic degree (academic degree has to be certified by competent authorities). (mandatory)

    - A copy of profession practicing license. (optional)


    Step 3- Submit the application with required documents, as described above, to the Customer Service – Registration and Commercial Licenses department (second floor - Tower B) or through the electronic service by clicking here.

    Step 4- Application and documents submitted will be studied by the concerned authority in the Business Development and Investment Promotion department.

    • Steps to transfer ownership shares to non-Qatari ownership:

    Step 1- Fill the transfer ownership shares to non-Qatari capital application by clicking here. (mandatory)

    Step 2- attach the required documents as per the following:

    Documents required to be submitted by Juristic person: (companies)

    - Issuing necessary licenses to modify the licensed names to start up the business from the competent authorities. (mandatory)

    - No Objection from the current partners (mandatory).​

    -  Copy of the official documents of the company (mandatory).

    - Attach copies of commercial registration of the branches (optional).

     

    Documents required to be submitted by Physical person: (person)

    - Preliminary and essential licenses required for starting up the business activity from competent authorities, if required. (mandatory)

    - No Objection from the current partners. (mandatory)

    -  A copy of Qatari ID (for residents), and a copy of passport (for non-residents). (mandatory)  

    - Certified good conduct certificate from the country of the applicant and from the State of Qatar for residents. (mandatory)

    - Resume containing work experiences and the academic degree (academic degree has to be certified by competent authorities. (mandatory)

    - A copy of profession practicing license. (optional)


    Step 3- Submit the application with required documents as described above to the Customer Service - Registration and Commercial Licenses department. (second floor - Tower B).

    Step 4- Application and documents submitted will be studied by the concerned authority in the Business Development and Investment Promotion Department.​
